Seared Ahi Caesar Salad from Point Loma Seafoods
Best surprise lunch ever! This is hands down my favorite thing to order at San Diego’s famous Point Loma Seafoods. I wasn’t expecting to have it for lunch, but because we’re slow in the office, we decided a lunch field trip was in order. Such a happy idea.
The salad is not only a work of salad art, it’s a work of seafood genius. The seared ahi tuna is fresh, tender, and the perfect balance of the char/smokiness from the grill and the subtle sweetness of sushi-grade tuna. Getting this salad with the dressing and teriyaki sauce on the side is a must. A dab of teri sauce on the tuna and lettuce lightly dressed in caesar dressing is definitely the perfect bite.
All the seafood is ultra fresh at Point Loma Seafoods, but I highly recommend the ceviche, crab cake, and of course, chowder. Nom nom nom…
